Future mental health professionals in America can apply to the Karen Corcoran Walsh Scholarship which will award $1,000 to a single university healthcare student that wishes to specialize in mental health.
Karen has spent over 22 years working in the mental health industry and would like to give back to future mental health professionals
The Karen Corcoran Walsh Scholarship launches our annual college scholarship which is geared to university healthcare students who focus on mental health, and high school students who wish to study mental health in the future.
To be eligible, be a current healthcare student at a university in the United States who would like to focus on mental health or High School student that will attend university for a degree in a mental health related area.
The scholarship will be awarded based on the best essay from our essay contest. One winner will be selected based on a creative essay of under 1000 words answering the following:
“Describe an area in mental health that needs improvement and how you will use your education to help improve upon the issue.”
One time award of $1,000
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is August 15, 2022.
The winner for the scholarship will be announced September 15, 2022.
